UNC Bears senior quarterback Peter Costelli went down with a leg injury late in the game at Colorado State. Thankfully, he'll be able to return to the playing field. But not this week. Nevada transfer Jonah Chong who had a very impressive camp and Hank Gibbs both expected to play depending on what the Bears want to do against Abiline Christian this Saturday in the home opener. Kickoff is set for 2pm at Nottingham. Head Coach Ed Lamb and his staff trying to win their first game since taking over about 20 months ago. #BearWitness #STBC
UPDATE: Winter conditioning and spring football can sometimes be a grind so Carson Keach had a little fun last week following an interception. The sophomore from Ponderosa HS in Parker, CO executed his best cartwheel downfield after picking off a pass. Two more weeks of spring football remain for the UNC Bears.

UPDATE: Redshirt Jr. Rocco Traore enters his fourth season with the UNC Bears football program. However, this is his first month playing running back at the college level. He was a great running back in high school in the Seattle area but was more valuable as a defensive back in Greeley the past three years. He's seen a lot during his time with the Bears including teammates leaving like Carver Cheeks and Noah Mangham did last week. Rocco takes it all in stride.

Good Morning: Happy Easter! One of the spiritual leaders on the UNC Bears team is R-Jr. LB Jordan Davis (32) who always has a smile on his face and puts team first. He was a star at Cherokee Trail HS in Aurora and his dad played running back at Kansas with the Jayhawks in the late 90s. Davis is one of those guys you have to have in order to enjoy success in college football.
