Fall camp is at the halfway point. Wednesday night's practice saw great energy and effort during another rainy session in northern Colorado. Coach Lamb talked about the knee pad rule after most of the defensive players came to practice without their knee pads on. They returned to the locker room to put them on. Officials won't be as strict with the rule this season. However, players have to wear the pads. Lamb reminded his team that he's not the one who makes the rules. He just wants to avoid silly penalties and do whatever possible in order to win football games. Defensive lineman Michael Jordan Jr. (99) has had a very good camp and continues to disrupt up-front. He made a nice play on Wednesday which you can see in the highlights. The Bears emphasized tackling and technique once again during a portion of the practice. They went "'live" during most of the scrimmage time and the offense definitely has good tempo and appears to be executing well on the offensive line. TE Charles Garrison got into the act with a touchdown catch in the corner of the endzone from QB Jonah Chong (transfer Nevada). Thank you again for your support and GO BEARS!
UPDATE: Winter conditioning and spring football can sometimes be a grind so Carson Keach had a little fun last week following an interception. The sophomore from Ponderosa HS in Parker, CO executed his best cartwheel downfield after picking off a pass. Two more weeks of spring football remain for the UNC Bears.

UPDATE: Redshirt Jr. Rocco Traore enters his fourth season with the UNC Bears football program. However, this is his first month playing running back at the college level. He was a great running back in high school in the Seattle area but was more valuable as a defensive back in Greeley the past three years. He's seen a lot during his time with the Bears including teammates leaving like Carver Cheeks and Noah Mangham did last week. Rocco takes it all in stride.

Good Morning: Happy Easter! One of the spiritual leaders on the UNC Bears team is R-Jr. LB Jordan Davis (32) who always has a smile on his face and puts team first. He was a star at Cherokee Trail HS in Aurora and his dad played running back at Kansas with the Jayhawks in the late 90s. Davis is one of those guys you have to have in order to enjoy success in college football.
