The UNC Bears displayed the toughness that head coach Ed Lamb has been looking for since he arrived over a year and a half ago. Especially at running back. The coaches continue to work with little sleep and the players fight through one of the most difficult stretches of fall camp. The officials were on hand in their stripes and two of the coaches observed closely from one of the elevated film towers.
Week two is in the books after @vannschield and @davidafari_
were two of six running backs who lowered their shoulder and powered their way down field for the offense. @CadenMeis and Darius Stewart are trying to get back to 100% after minor injuries. Jordan Hornbeak, @jocky05 and @MathiasPrice all productive. @CostelliPeter led the Bears at quarterback on the first two drives and hit @munroe_brayden for the first touchdown of the night. @hank_gibbs and @jonahchong11 directed the offense well also. All three quarterbacks ran the ball well despite different skill sets. @hank_gibbs
connected with Utah State transfer @RyderMacGilliv1
for a big third down reception. MacGilliv1 also had a touchdown reception. Freshman @BoxKaiden continues to heal after getting a little banged up two days ago. @MunroeBrayden is as great as he is humble. There are five new receivers who'll earn playing time. He's been extremely difficult to cover and strong as steel. The offensive line is in great shape and so are the tight ends. Here's Coach Lamb and Brayden Munroe.
UPDATE: Winter conditioning and spring football can sometimes be a grind so Carson Keach had a little fun last week following an interception. The sophomore from Ponderosa HS in Parker, CO executed his best cartwheel downfield after picking off a pass. Two more weeks of spring football remain for the UNC Bears.

UPDATE: Redshirt Jr. Rocco Traore enters his fourth season with the UNC Bears football program. However, this is his first month playing running back at the college level. He was a great running back in high school in the Seattle area but was more valuable as a defensive back in Greeley the past three years. He's seen a lot during his time with the Bears including teammates leaving like Carver Cheeks and Noah Mangham did last week. Rocco takes it all in stride.

Good Morning: Happy Easter! One of the spiritual leaders on the UNC Bears team is R-Jr. LB Jordan Davis (32) who always has a smile on his face and puts team first. He was a star at Cherokee Trail HS in Aurora and his dad played running back at Kansas with the Jayhawks in the late 90s. Davis is one of those guys you have to have in order to enjoy success in college football.
